Description
“Arise, soldiers of Christ,
throw away the works of darkness
and put on the armour of light.” St Cecilia, virgin and Martyr
St Cecilia is one of seven women, in addition to the Blessed Virgin, commemorated by name in the Canon of the Mass in the Roman Catholic Church. She is regarded as the patron saint of musicians and it is written that as the musicians played at her wedding she “sang in her heart to the Lord”.St Cecilia lived between 200-230AD and her feast day is celebrated on November 22.
In 1599, St Cecilia’s body was found incorrupt, seeming to be asleep. She is one of the most greatest and most loved Catholic saints.

A perfect sentiment to remind us that we are indeed called to be soldiers of Christ and that there is a difference between being meek and being humble.
